Our Story
Higgason Cattle Co. is a testament to our family’s enduring legacy and dedication to quality. Our story begins in the 1920’s when our great-grandparents, BJ and Helen Schneider, established their farm on the Kansas plains. After a period of not raising cattle, two brothers have revitalized the family tradition with a renewed focus on modern and progressive practices.
We source local cattle and raise them with meticulous care, allowing them to graze on nutrient-rich rye, triticale, or native pastures before finishing them on a professionally formulated TMR comprised of locally sourced corn, triticale and alfalfa as well as other feedstuffs while using cutting edge technology to provide the best nutritional health and performance for each animal.
This careful process ensures our beef is of the highest quality, delivering exceptional flavor and tenderness. We also raise farm-raised chickens, providing fresh eggs and adding to the family-oriented, sustainable nature of our farm.
